The Play Big IN82 is InFocus` first Full-HD 1080p DLP digital home cinema projector. The IN82 utilizes the DarkChip3 DLP(R) chipset by Texas Instruments(TM), technology which is unsurpassed in its ability to deliver deep black levels, pure whites, and subtle grayscale details. Also, the native 4000:1 contrast can be boosted to a maximum 12000:1 by activating the onboard iris.

Brightness & Video Performance
The IN82 is bright enough to deliver film-standard, D6500K color accuracy in nearly any theater, even with ambient light or daytime viewing. Producing video optimized brightness up to 1500 Max ANSI lumens this projector is spectacular and offers the flexibility to reduce brightness to improve black level performance in a dedicated home theater without dimming the picture.

Connectivity
The Play Big IN82 is virtually future-proof thanks to onboard HDMI 1.3 inputs with Deep Color(TM) support. This new HDMI standard can display up to 1.07 billion colors for a smooth picture without color band artifacts. Advanced Iris 2
The latest evolution of Sony’s own Advanced Iris function uses algorithms designed to analyze the histogram of each picture along with nonlinear amplification to dynamically adjust the iris for its optimum opening. The result is a stunningly high contrast ratio of up to 35,000:1. Images in bright scenes are crisp and clear and black levels in dark scenes are deep and detailed. Ultra Quiet Fan

New Optical System Helps Deliver 16,000:1 Contrast

HD Compatible Lens System and New Optical Engine

The lens system plays a key role in getting the best images possible from full-HD video sources. To assure outstanding quality in the new PT-AE2000E, Panasonic developed a Full High Definition compatible lens unit comprising 16 lens elements in 12 groups, including two large-diameter aspherical lenses and two high-performance ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses.

We also developed a "Clear Prism" to process the three primary colours (red, green and blue) that create the image. By controlling the diffused reflection within the projector, the Clear Prism reduces the chromatic aberrations that can cause colour deviation.

The result is a sharp, high-contrast image all the way to the edges. This sophisticated new lens system contributes to the PT-AE2000E's remarkable 16,000:1 contrast ratio.

Next-Generation Full-HD LCD Panels

The PT-AE2000E is equipped with nextgeneration Full HD LCD panels*1. With their native 1,920 x 1,080 progressive resolution, these panels are ideal for reproducing beautiful Full HD images. The panels use inorganic, vertically aligned liquid crystal molecules. When no voltage is applied, the molecules are aligned perpendicular to the glass substrate, so there is no light leakage and the substrate remains black (called normally black operation).

Dynamic Iris

The Dynamic Iris helps provide the deeper, richer blacks you need for true-to-life images. This system works by analysing histograms to determine the brightness level of each image, then adjusting the lamp power, iris and gamma curve*2 accordingly to create the ideal image. The adjustments are made 60 times every second. In the PT-AE2000E we used a new algorithm that further improves response and stability. It helps the projector achieve a wide dynamic range, with beautiful display of both dark and bright scenes.

Intelligent Auto Setup - Detach Free Lens Protector: As the lens protector is always settled on the projector, there is no need to detach the cover before turning on the power.
Intelligent Auto Setup - Powered Tilt Adjuster: Sets the projectors height to the previous setting which is stored in memory. The shooting angle can be set using the power-operated tilt adjuster via the keys on the body and the supplied Remote commander. The new setting is retained in memory and instantly recalled the next time the projector is used.
Intelligent Auto Setup - Keystone Correction: Vertically keystone distortion is automatically corrected according to the tilt angle. Keystone distortion can be corrected up to 15 degrees. This means images can be projected with correct geometry even when installation space is limited.
Intelligent Auto Setup - Auto Focus: The focus is adjusted automatically by the built-in auto focus module.
Intelligent Auto Setup - Auto Input Search: The VPL-CX20A automatically checks the projector's input connectors and selects the one to which an input signal is supplied. Images are projected from the moment the power is turned on.
Off & Go Power Termination: The VPL-CX20A has a great feature that allows you to keep moving. Off & Go allows you to unplug the projector without waiting for the projector to cool down. A built in circuit allows the cooling fan to continue running even when the power is cut.
Freeze Function: Allows the presenter to freeze-frame their presentation on the projector, allowing the audience to see only that slide, while the presenter can successfully toggle their documents on the PC desktop. When ready, the presenter can depress the freeze function and the audience is none the wiser!
4x Digital Zoom: Want to emphasize a point in your presentation? The VPL-CX20A digital Zoom feature allows any designated section of the projected image to be zoomed in up to 4x larger.
